Exclamation Self-Healing Elementalist Build...?

Guys, I need help! My first character, made as a little gw nooblet, was a useless E/R. I have basically made her all fire and then shoved points into troll unguent so I don't die. I've realized this is a pitiful build with little use in anything but pve, and the points in troll unguent are basically useless, but I've tried aura of restoration and it is not enough healing in my opinion.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Is there a good ele build that will allow for NOT getting slaughtered as soon as some gay warrior cuts into you? Maybe earth protection? Water slows? I need help, and advice on how to go to pvp; I will change my second class if I need to... heres my points:

16 Fire Magic
9 Energy Storage
8 Wilderness Survival

Fire Attunement
Meteor
Immolate
Fireball
Rodgort's Invocation
Meteor Shower
Troll Unguent
Mind Burn

The idea is to stack rodgorts and meteor shower on groups and then pick off individuals with meteor, immolate, fireball, and mind burn. fire attunement is just to deal with the huge energy burn of rodgorts and meteor shower. and troll obviously to heal. i often cast it when i have to be within aggro to nuke, and do it right before a long cast.

Please help me!!! >< I love you guys!

Easiest way would be to find a group with a good monk. Or if you really want to, switch your second class to monk for healing breeze or orison of healing etc.

Actually, ranger's troll unguent is better than healing breeze. However, it takes longer to cast and cannot be cast on others.

Also, the wilderness survival line is pretty useless on a elementalist.

Try a E/Mo if you want to heal... You'll have to put about 9 healign prayers for it to be effective. Healing breeze, heal area, , infuse health, heal party, word of healing, and heal other will be the only heals that are actually worth it.

Orison of healing only does about 67 at max (12 Healing prayers).

An alternative to the monk secondary is mesmer secondary's ether feast or the necromancer's blood line to steal health.

No, here's your solution:
Fire Magic 12 (16 with headgear and Sup. Fire)
Energy Storage 12 (13 with Min. Energy Storage)

Mark of Rodgort
Flare
Fireball
Meteor
Glyph of Elemental Power/Lesser Energy
Ether Renewal (E)
Aura of Restoration
Fire Attunement

Always keep Aura of Restoration and Fire Attunement on you. Then, when your energy or health gets low, use Ether Renewal. The key is that right after you use Ether Renewal, you continually use Flare on someone to get the most out of it possible. Every time you cast Flare with Ether Renewal on you, you should gain 10+ energy and 65+ health. Make sure you use Mark of Rodgort at the beginning of battles so that opponents are set on fire after any attack used on them. Also, i find Mark of Rodgort to be a good way to get quick health, because it only takes 1 second to cast, and with Aura, you get 80+ health from it. I've used this build often, and I find it is very good way to keep yourself alive, while still doing a lot of damage. Look to use any glyph you would like with this build, it really comes down to personal preference and style. Runes are also up to you. I used to have Sup Fire and Energy Storage, but found that the lack of health really hurt me, so i reduced the Energy Storage to Minor. A good alternate to this build, is looking to Earth, where you use Kinetic Armor as another enchantment, so that Ether Renewal becomes even more effective (use Stone Daggers in replacement for Flare). I'd like to get some feedback from people who try this build out, let me know please. Thanks.

Using enchantments is nice, but later on in the game the creeps will start blasting those enchantments away (and doing a little dmg in the progress).

You should simply rely on your monks AND get the hell away from incoming warriors, if the team complains you ain't doing dmg, simply tell them that you have to run away from those melee-hacker that the tanks are letting thru.

The above with the renewal / aura of restoration will still not protect you against the heavy melee, it's only enough to restore like 1/7th dmg to your health bar, as jade armor gets you down to 50 hp in two hits, it wont be a solution + yer screwed if they interupt your spells.

Well in pvp you shouldn't really need to take any self heals, hopefully your monks are good enough.
